  • I’m worried I won’t connect with a Counsellor and it will be a waste of time and money.

  • Are all your therapists qualified?
    Yes, all counsellors here are qualified to practice in Western Australia and meet the necessary standards. We believe it's important to stay current with new developments, so we regularly engage in additional personal and professional development.
  • How many sessions will I need?
    Everyone’s situation is unique, several factors are at play including the issues you bring to counselling and how quickly you can build rapport with your counsellor. We’ve found that in general, individuals and couples see maximum benefits when they commit to a series of 6 to 8 counselling sessions with one of our experienced and qualified practitioners. This is because scheduling in regular therapy over a set period of time ensures consistency and continuity which promotes better, more timely outcomes. It is for this reason our practice has created a suite of packages to accommodate what our clients most need support with.   • Are the sessions confidential?
    Yes, your privacy is crucial to us. All Counsellors are ethically bound and committed to maintaining confidentiality during sessions, enhancing the trust in our therapeutic relationship. Your information won't be shared without your signed consent. However, confidentiality may be breached if there's a risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child abuse or neglect, or involvement in a criminal act. In such cases, we are ethically obligated to seek advice and report to the necessary authorities.
  • Can I claim the cost of my session?
    While Professional Counsellors are not covered by the Medicare rebate system, if you have private health cover with Medibank Private or AHM, you might qualify for rebates on counselling services. Contact your private health insurance provider to check your eligibility. Alternatively, we provide Ezypay, a buy now, pay later option, for packaged sessions. Feel free to reach out to us to learn more about this option.
  • How long is a session and what will it cost?
    Individual sessions run for 60 minutes, and couple sessions run for 90 minutes. For the best results, we recommend committing to a series of counselling sessions with our experienced practitioners. This provides consistency and continuity, leading to better and more timely outcomes. Opting for session packages not only promotes these benefits but also comes with a 5% discount. You can conveniently purchase them using Ezypay*, our chosen buy now, pay later service. Couple sessions are charged at $330 for 90 minutes (inclusive of GST). Please contact us for all session and package inquiries. *additional charges may apply.
  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?
    To cancel an appointment without incurring a charge, we ask for a 24-hour notice. Failing to provide this notice will result in a 50% charge* of the scheduled fee. This time frame enables us to offer your session to another client who might be in need of an appointment. Additionally, you have the option to switch your session from in-person to online at any time. *Consideration is given on a case-by-case basis, taking into account individual circumstances.
  • I’m sick but I don’t want to cancel my appointment.
    This is not a problem, you have the option to switch your session from in-person to online at any time at no extra charge. Contact us to arrange this ASAP.
  • Does counselling work?
    Yes! Counseling can really make a positive impact on your life. Our Team is skilled at tailoring our approach to fit your needs and the results you're aiming for. However, how well it works predominantly depends on your commitment to the process. So, consistently engaging during sessions, doing your homework, trying out strategies, and reflecting on your experience are the main factors that determine how effective your counseling journey will be.
  • Are telephone/Skype/Zoom counseling options available?
    Yes. We offer telephone and online sessions (via Zoom). Fees are charged at the same rate as in-person sessions. Credit Card payments or EFT transfers will be required prior to your session.
  • How do I book a package/session?
    Contact us via email or telephone to book a convenient time for a session. When you contact us we will spend some time: discussing your needs and recommending suitable counselling options; and answering any questions you may have.   • When does the March 2024 round start?
    The first live call takes place on Monday, 18 March (AWST) with our final call on Monday, 3, June. The first video lesson and accompanying workbook will be released Tuesday 12 March.
